The exhibition is on view until 23. April 2016.

Through the works, which constitute the backbone of this exhibition, I reach back to my favorite support: I rediscover the shiny, monochromatic rayons. New are, however, the patterned satins and other iridescent textiles. Instead of approaching the surfaces of my textile supports as untilled territories, I consider them splendid clearings ought to be involved into the structure of the image. The plenteous amount of fabric occasionally exceeds the size of the frame onto which it is stretched, thus a portion of it becomes temporarily unnecessary. During the process of painting, this excess remains hidden by the used surface and the frame. All four sides and the central surface are painted monochrome grey. The work is realized fully in the curious moment of unfurling. Emerging from behind, the fabric unfolds freed from nails and staples, the edges are peeled off from the frame and slits open in the corners. All these movements combined are the instants of the elementary demand for revealing and to cognizing. The surrounded central image is born. Its form is similar to that of some wrapping material, which we leave behind after opening a present. This shape of the image emerges from its support to which it is intrinsically bound. At the same time, this part remains in the background, as the lavishly overflowing fabric becomes an equal – if not more important – part of the picture. One could even presume that the central image transforms itself to support the sea of fabric that surrounds it.
